Willian Wants Arsenal Exit
Arsenal winger, Willian, is reportedly keen on leaving the club and returning to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The 32-year-old Brazilian international – who, in August last year, signed a three-year contract with the Gunners on a free transfer – has only scored one goal in 37 appearances in the English Premier League this season.
Per reports, Arsenal want to offload Willian because of his disappointing performance. As a result, a number of European clubs in Europe, as well as Major League Soccer side, Inter Miami CF, are interested in his services.
However, the winger apparently wants to return to Chelsea, whom he previously claimed refused to offer him a three-year deal following his seven-year stint with them.
He said: “I didn’t leave the club with a fight … I really wanted to stay. We ended up not finding an agreement, I ended up asking for three years, Chelsea wanted to give two, and everyone knows this story. That’s why I ended up leaving.”
Only time will tell if the Blues will take Willian back by the next transfer window.
